The world is trying to tell us we don’t belong – so we’re creating an entire week just for YOU! Family Mixer for Parents & Caregivers of Trans Youth

An evening of connection for parents and caregivers of trans and gender-diverse youth. Families can meet others on similar journeys, learn about legal rights and resources, and hear from experienced parents and community members. This is a family-friendly event with space for both caregivers and youth.

A practical workshop guiding participants through the step-by-step process of updating identity documents. Staff and volunteers will help participants understand requirements, complete paperwork, and answer questions. 

Becoming More Visibly You: Gender Affirmation Workshop

Drag has long been part of the fight for LGBTQ+ liberation. This fun, beginner-friendly event invites participants to learn the basics of drag makeup and performance, then debut their looks in a celebratory show.

Makeup, shoes, and limited clothing will be provided—though participants are welcome to bring their own supplies. 

Pronouns 101 Workshop

India Community Center and Santa Clara County are offering free culturally infused suicide prevention and mental health workshops for the Hindi speaking community! Learn how to spot signs of emotional distress; ask if someone is considering suicide sensitively and confidently; and respond to community needs and decrease stigma.

Youth are invited to share thoughts on mental health topics and preferred methods of support for the community. The Jed Foundation is a national organization dedicated to protecting emotional health and preventing suicide among teens and young adults in the United States. The City of Palo Alto and the Jed Foundation would appreciate hearing from youth to gain insight into mental health issues and suicide prevention in our community!   

Creative Self-Care for Challenging Times

All teens are invited to learn how to use creativity and self-expression during difficult times as a means to practice self-care. Art activities include Circle of Meaning, Postcard to Self, Body Mapping, and Open Project.
